An event titled "A Interview on Careers in Tourism" was held by the Balıkesir University Tourism Research and Application Center as part of Tourism Week.
The event, held on April 17, 2023, featured Mr. Volkan KUŞ, Coordinator of Ramada By Wyndham Tekirdağ Hotel and Ramada By Wyndham Budapest Hotel; Ms. Gülbahar KESERGİL, Manager of Ramada By Wyndham Tekirdağ Hotel; and Ms. Yeşim ÇETİN, Human Resources Manager; as well as Mr. Ramazan KOPARAL, Head of Guides for the Aegean Region at JollyTur; and Mr. Selim FAZLIOĞLU, Head of Guides for the Mediterranean Region at JollyTur, as speakers. The event, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gülay ÖZDEMİR YILMAZ, Director of the Tourism Research and Application Center, included an opening speech by Prof. Dr. Cevdet AVCIKURT, Vice Rector of Balıkesir University; and speeches by Prof. Dr. Murat DOĞDUBAY, Vice Rector; and Prof. Dr. [Name], Dean of the Faculty of Tourism. Ahmet Köroğlu, along with faculty members and students from the tourism department, participated in the event. The event provided students with information about career paths, opportunities, challenges, and necessary qualifications for the tourism sector, focusing on two fundamental dynamics of the industry: accommodation and travel management.
