A field trip was organized for students of the Faculty of Tourism.

On October 11, 2024, Balıkesir University Faculty of Tourism and the Tourism Research and Application Center organized a field trip for first-year Tourism Management students. The trip included visits to Altıntaş Hotel & Spa, Ramada Residences by Wyndham, and Hilton Garden Inn, all located in the center of Balıkesir. Hotel management provided students with detailed information about the general structure, operation, and units of a hotel.

Following the hotel visits, which were attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Köroğlu, the Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cemali Buzlukçu, the Director of the Tourism Research and Application Center Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gülay Özdemir Yılmaz, Dr. Blend İbrahim, and Research Assistant Gözde Kumaş, a city tour of Balıkesir was conducted by Professional Tourist Guide Research Assistant Beste Demir, providing students with information about the city's historical and cultural values.
